Got a 94TT with 80k miles. Have applied to Grundy Worldwide. I have this crazy idea a Z is meant to be driven and enjoyed whenever the hell you want. I understand the restrictions on their policies and I want to protect my Z. It has full coverage through Geico at the moment, KBB value puts it at around 10-12k. Ive already invested about 4 grand in parts/repairs/upkeep alone. At best id image at a total loss event Geico would offer up to maybe 85% of the book value, which means the "totaled" threshold is much lower with them. Has anyone had experience with a total loss event and their Z, how was the insurance pay out through regular insurance? I don't wanna get on Grundy and if something terrible happens have them try to not pay out the agreed value because of some grey zone BS, nor do I want to be given the 3rd degree if that terrible something does happen. What do y'all think?
